Fall Basics

 

 

Well we are getting deeper into fall each day. The mornings are definitely colder and darker and the days have been getting shorter as well.

As much as I don’t like the cooler temperatures and shorter days, Autumn is my favorite season for fashion styles.

Firstly, I love all the rich fall colors, and secondly, I love the ability to layer clothes due to the cooler weather.  For me, this means you can repeat some fashion pieces in many different ways.

It is important for me to choose attire which is easy to mix and match so each time it feels like you have an entirely new outfit.

Turtlenecks – I love neutral color turtlenecks because they go with almost anything –  you can wear them to the office, but in the meantime you can wear them sexy and still stay warm at night by pairing with leggings, mini skirt and high heels or long boots

Blazers – Fashion changes, but the blazer look is always timeless. I love the look of a classic blazer worn with a turtleneck underneath and a pair of high wasted jeans or pants. For fall fashion I gravitate towards traditional colors such as greens, browns, burgundy and navy. But I also love mixing in an occasional white blazer for contrast.

Look 1  Green blazer with plaid pants and turtleneck, my favorite fall combo. It is such a classic look, you can basically wear it to any occasion.
